SUPPORT SLOTS - ITS GOT TO BE, THE HAIZE - FROM MARKET HARBOROUGH, LEICESTER

THE HAIZE TAKE THEIR MUSICAL CUES FROM GREAT BRITISH GUITAR BANDS (THE STONE ROSES, THE WHO, THE JAM, THE BEATLES TO NAME BUT A FEW).

THEY ALSO HAVE THE MUSICAL ABILITY, IMAGINATION AND MOST IMPORTANTLY A LEAD SINGER WITH THE SWAGGER OF A YOUNG MICK JAGGER TO CARRY THE WHOLE THING OFF.

AND LIKE THE GREAT BRITISH BANDS WHAT STARTED OFF AS A PUB COVERS BAND HAS DEVELOPED INTO A BAND OF BRIGHT, ENERGETIC SONGWRITERS.

THE HAIZE ARE KICKING UP A STORM LOCALLY, THEIR GIGS HAVE A HUGE FOLLOWING., AND THEY HAVE ESTABLISHED THEIR OWN HAIZE CLUB NIGHT IN MARKET HARBOROUGH: “MOVEMENT”.

TIME TO SIT UP AND LISTEN. BECAUSE ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME....  http://WWW.MYSPACE.COM/THEHAIZE
ALSO FOR RECENT LIVE FOOTAGE SEE http://WWW.MYSPACE.COM/THEHAIZELIVE

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DEMO AVAILABLE ON MYSPACE WAS RECORDED 18 MONTHS AGO AND IN NO WAY REPRESENTS THE SONG WRITING DEPTHS THE BAND HAVE NOW REACHED - THE HAIZE WILL ASTOUND ALL THOSE WHO TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN AND SEE THEM LIVE.

THE HAIZE WOULD LOVE TO SUPPORT AT BIRMINGHAM OR LONDON CARLING ACADEMY..LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU.

Just Dave and an acoustic guitar.

16 year old acoustic musician who’s just starting out but plenty of material to show for it.

Daves first rough demo was passed onto Michael Stipe of REM fame who quoted it as “Young and full of innocence...some real talent goes un-noticed!” and he has also been described as “Stephen Fretwell mark II”
In the coming months he will play support slots with bands such as The Hazey Janes and the Mode.
Dave is influenced by the likes of Embrace,The Beatles,Stephen Fretwell and of course the Stone Roses.
Willing to travel as far as Glasgow and Edinburgh to play at the moment.

The Sway are an indie/mod/punk band from Dunfermline, Fife. We have been playing together for 4 years and are well established in Fife, Edinburgh and the Glasgow area. Recently we have created a great buzz at our live gigs with a growing fan base. We’ve also started putting on our own night called ‘Weekend Revolution’ which has sold out each time. We are a lively young band eager to play at bigger and bigger gigs. Give us a listen and see what you think.

Cheers

Jester would kill for this fu**ing gig. Available to play any Irish date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the summer of 2001, members of various bands with very different styles decided to get together to rehearse. Colly Dempsey, Tommy Maher, Mark O’Dwyer, Phil Ryan & Jonny Gleeson were quick to realise this band had a future and the name Jester was chosen to represent the group.
The band originally started out rehearsing tracks by The Stone Roses,Ocean Colour Scene etc..

By 2003 Jester had developed a sound and stage confidence. It was now time to take it to the next level and concentrate more on the original side of things. With a diverse interest in music within the band original material began to flow.
Jesters debut E.P simply entitled “Jester” which was released.

Following the recording of these tracks Jester played many established venues throughout Ireland and with the help of Irish Music Network headlined their own show to a packed house in Dublin’s Sugar Club which has been one of the highlights of Jester’s career to date.

In 2006 Jester recently completed there second offering entitled “Maria”. This E.P is a true reflection of the band musically and personally. Each member of Jester has extremely different musical tastes but they all agree “Maria” incorporates the bands diverse musical interests and the result is something very original and exciting.

On the back of “Maria” the lads have just returned from there most high profile gig to date, Oxegen Festival 2006. The gig was well received by the amazing crowd that showed up on the day. Jester as usual did not disappoint playing an explosive forty five minute set on the Campsite Stage alongside The Walls and Jerry Fish And The Mudbug Club.

PLEASE VISIT THE WEB ADDRESS BELOW TO REVIEW TRACKS AND GAIN MORE INFO ON THE BAND

THE BIG BUZZ AWARDS WINNERS! “Best New Irish Rock Band 2006”
On Saturday 26th August 2006 at the sold out show in the Millenium Forum, Derry City - Cuckoo Rass where announced winners for the Big Buzz Awards Show as “Best New Irish Rock Band/Act”

http://www.bigbuzzireland.com

Cheers
Cuckoo Rass*

http://www.cuckoorass.co.uk
http://www.myspace.com/cuckoorass

“On vocals, guitar and piano Mick Scullion leads the band with his melodic warbling - touching the wonders of modern life, love and loss and occasionally entering into the surreal, painting images with thought provoking lyrics. This, when intertwined with the delicate fret board wizardry of new addition Kevin Gormley and dynamic rhythm section of Karl Zilizi on Bass and JP Donnelly on drums, combines to produce the signature Rass sound.

Performances recently as part of BBC Music Live and gigs in various venues on the local/National scene [ Mandella Hall, Speakeasy, limelight, Frontpage, Square Peg etc ] have seen the band go from strength to strength. Following the release of their debut EP Brothers and Fools. Cuckoo Rass established themselves as not only a compelling live band but also as a cerebral recording act.

“The four tracks featured here are superb, veering with an exquisite balance between sparseness and lushness. Highly professional work & thoroughly recommended!” (Eamonn P Keyes, Sound Engineer “The Answer” / Fastfude)

Cuckoo Rass can list among their influences the great live acts, Coldplay, The Who, The Smiths, REM and U2 to name but a few! The bands core desire is to write songs that help make them stand out in their own unique spotlight, songs that draw inspiration from wide ranges of musicians. From folk balladeers to sonic rock gods, they can all be accredited as mentors.

Over the past 6 months, Cuckoo Rass have played 2 largely recognised showcases for Irish Music [The SoNi Showcase by MusicBest records and The Audioill Showcase by Audio-Ill Records] and have provided Support at the Galway Festival for The Revs.

With the craze of bebo and myspace - DJ’s, Nikki Hayes [2FM] and Connor Philips of [CoolFM] both requested a demo CD with discussions of doing a live interview in the very near future....

With the music industry taking an interest - you are loyal fans can help make it happen. Watch out for the first of many brand new singles from August 2006...”

Immersed, four piece band from Glasgow - would be interested in supporting the complete stone roses on their Glasgow dates.

http://www.myspace.com/immersedmusic

“....this incarnation of Immersed have the kind of sound that is firmly entrenched in the early 90s. Its baggy, its Madchester, and yet its got a little something edgier. Crackdown draws heavily from Primal Scream (particularly the Screamadelica and Vanishing Point albums), which comes as no surprise given the Glaswegian connection. The guitar-play recalls vintage Stone Roses, but more sinister. Immersed are a good fit for those who just missed out on the early 90s British Invasion!....”
