Page 1 of 31 pages 1 2 3 > Last » April 2008 We are delighted to announce that the charity single, a reworked cover of legendary Joy Division classic LOVE WILL TEAR US APART, which the band have been working on is now scheduled for a national release date of Monday 23rd June 2008 and as part of the promotions for the release the band have produced a music video which will be uploaded onto this site shortly. All profits made from this release will be given directly to Cancer Research UK which, as most of you will remember, was the chosen charity for the bands benefit show in Glasgow last year which raised an incredible 17,000 UK Pounds. Universal Music Publishing who own the rights to LWTUA have also kindly agreed to redirect any royalties that they make from this version, which will be titled Love Will Tear Us Apart stonelove version, will also be given to the charity. New for 2008, the Secret Garden Market will specialise in homemade goods, crafts and holistic therapies to add to the relaxed, blissed-out vibes. Falkirk’s Children’s and Youth Theatre will once again be performing in the woods of Callendar Park but for 2008, they will be joined by site-specific theatre virtuosos, Poorboy, who will work their magic on the secret corners of Callendar Park. Changelings will take audiences on a journey under the skin of real life where, hidden deep, far from the shadow of an austere house, lies a world where imagination runs riot and all are allowed to dream. the expected audience is huge for this one, some 150,000 attendance over the two days with some 30,000+ expected to be at the main stage area on both days. As well as live music the festval has everything to suit all ages - Other highlights include The World Famous’ Full Circle which will astound audiences with its combination of fire, pyrotechnics, special effects and live music courtesy of Slovakian musicians Terrafolk to present a story of seasonal change and the relationship between humanity and the environment. Featuring giant pod-like flowers built by Graeme Gilmour inside which Terrafolk will perform, Full Circle promises to be a completely original piece of outdoor theatre. This will be The World Famous’ third visit to Big in Falkirk following their highly memorable Sticky (with Improbable Theatre) in 2002 and a spectacular firework display the following year.
