JEWEL IN THE CROWN

After having seen the complete stone roses if you were’nt a fan before then you could be now. How good where they? chatting briefly to the band before and after the gig they were enthusiastic about playing THE VENUE One member commented, its not about the size of the venue, its about the crowd although they were a bit mad for it, may we add the boys were also loving it.

How good where they? chatting briefly to the band before and after the gig they were enthusiastic about playing The Venue One member commented its not about the size of the venue, its about the crowd although they were a bit mad for it, may we add the boys TCSR were also loving it.

The Completes line up are brian on vocals Andy on squire duties Dave aka Nelly on the bass and Scott as the legend Reni, certainly creating a sound even the kings of the baggy scene would appreciate.

Is it any wonder these lads have gave up their day jobs to keep the sound of the Stone Roses alive in our hearts every weekend throughout the UK, or in their own words to hell with getting up at 7am and answering to some arsehole anyway getting back to the gig, Gary Mani Mounfield original Roses bassist has been known to get onstage with the lads as well as Joy Division, New Order genius Peter Hook on the odd occassion which deserves some credit in our book. Sadly not this time in Dumfries although we were lucky to have one of Edinburghs up and coming talents Blue Vintage City who held their own alongside the completes a big well done to the trio who are worth checking out if you get the chance.

To all you unlucky people who missed out, that it from us the atmosphere was electric as the lads walked onstage to the infmaous bass intro of I wanna be adored undoubtedly one of the Roses all time classics, which was followed by a back catalogue of early material right up until the ripping slide guitar intro of love spreads

Obviously The Completes take their sound seriously and reproduced every song to the finest detail, having seen the original Stone Roses ourselves it would be fair to say that the completes have encaptured the euphoric buzz that made the original Roses legendary. For die hard fans this is probably no surprise to you but for those of you who have just found the jewel in the crown of the madchester scene WELCOME
